At a Glance
As the lead UX designer for Mersive's company-wide rebrand, I spearheaded the transformation of the Mersive Collaboration Suite's design system across desktop, mobile, and Smart TV platforms. This project showcases my ability to drive user-centered design solutions while adhering to brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
Challenge
Mersive, a prominent name in the AV community, needed a fresh brand identity to accompany the launch of its new collaboration suite. Starting with just a new font and two colors (purple and orange) provided by the marketing team, I was tasked with expanding this foundation into a comprehensive design system that would reinvigorate the user experience, differentiate Mersive from competitors, and ensure accessibility compliance across all platforms.
Approach
Leveraging design thinking methodologies, I orchestrated a comprehensive design overhaul:
User Research: Conducted multiple research initiatives to determine the best integration of the new brand identity into the product suite.
Accessibility Focus: Prioritized WCAG compliance throughout the design process, ensuring inclusivity for all users.
Iterative Design: Created mood boards, performed A/B testing with users, and collaborated closely with marketing and stakeholders.
Cross-Platform Optimization: Tailored the new design system for seamless implementation across desktop, mobile, and Smart TV interfaces.
Key Innovations
Modernized Visual Language: Developed a fresh, contemporary look incorporating beautiful imagery and natural language across all product touchpoints.
Expanded Color Palette: Created a range of accessible color variants to meet the diverse needs of the entire product suite.
Typography Optimization: Adapted the new font for optimal readability and brand consistency across all platforms.
Cohesive User Experience: Ensured a unified brand experience from marketing materials to product interfaces.
Results
The Mersive rebrand yielded impressive outcomes:
Enhanced brand perception and user engagement across all platforms.
Improved accessibility, meeting WCAG requirements while maintaining brand identity.
Strengthened Mersive's market position with a distinctive, modern visual identity.
Facilitated entry into new markets while reinvigorating the experience for existing customers.
This case study demonstrates my expertise in translating brand guidelines into functional, user-centric design systems that drive product innovation and user satisfaction. By combining empathy-driven design with data-informed decision-making, I consistently deliver solutions that resonate with users and stakeholders alike.
